The Three Rivers Battalion is an Army Reserve Officers' Training Corp program that prepares college students in the Pittsburgh area to become Army Officers.

Military Entrance Processing Station (MEPS)
MEPS evaluates applicants by applying established DoD standards during processing for military service. Army National Guard 128th Brigade Support Battalion
The mission of the 128th Forward Support Battalion is to provide logistic support for the 2nd Brigade, 28th Infantry Division (Mechanized).

Coast Guard
MSU Pittsburgh is responsible for directing all Coast Guard activities related to Port Security, Waterways Management, Marine Environmental Protection, Investigations and Inspections.
USCGC Osage is a 65ft Class River Buoy Tender in service with the US Coast Guard's 8th District, Sector Ohio Valley. Homeported at USCG Station in Sewickley, PA.

MCRC is responsible to find, attract, and recruit qualified individuals for the active and reserve components, both officer and enlisted, to achieve Total Force accession requirements.
